This is a small family operation NM just to have the potential to buy fruit but this wine is all estate grown from their vineyards in Vertus

Sipping on this Champagne Veuve Fourny et Fils 1er Cru Blanc de Blanc (100% Chardonnay) last night was the perfect lead in to #ChampagneDay! I was invited along to a delicious ‘Aromatics & Thai Wine Dinner’ hosted by Canny Grapes at Itsara In Nedlands - what a great way to start the 5-course meal!

As always Champagne looks simply beautiful in the glass, this one is a lovely pale silver yellow with plentiful streams of tiny bubbles. On the nose it’s wonderfully floral with lemon zest and hints of nuts. On the palate it’s soft, elegant and has a wonderful crisp minerality on the finish. My glass was finished extremely fast, I’m not sure what happened to it 😏

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
