Taste: like the nose, little taste and a dash of manure, a little bitter. Forgettable fine, simple, but at least it tastes Italian rather than like the cheap light fruity perfumy wines TJ’s sells all the time. With this I am content. 85. POST SCRIPT: did not do well on the second day, even though most of the bottle was left. Totally dead and anonymous. Won’t lower the score, but yech.

Mar 8th, 2022Beautiful deep dark red color. Flavorful, with nice bite, but kinda watery. Tasted 1 March 2022 $6 from Trader Joe’s … a nice value, for sure. And by the way, the wine was much better on day two … no more watery flavor! Day 1 rating: 82; day 2 rating: 89
