I haven’t gone back to check my notes on the ‘18 version of this, but this ‘19 strikes me as more structured and a little youthfully austere. Classically light color as most Lessonas have. Nose is minerally and little on the feral side, but clearly the Nebbiolo fruit is there, showing up as macerated cherry juice with a little tangelo rind and a high-toned floral note. Deeply-flavored but the texture is holding a little back, with a linear, slightly austere feel. O2 is helping. Nice tannin and acids. This is nice now with air but clearly will age very well. 9.2 for now but I think that could go up in a few years.
