This is a delicious 8 year old Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley that is drinking very nicely now.
Showing black fruits, earth, tobacco, leather, vegetables, light vinaigrette and coffee.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
Nicely balanced and fruit forward with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel.
Decanted it for 2 hours, and that was enough.
I had this exact vintage 5 years ago, and it is drinking nicer now.
Not an expensive wine, but from a great vintage, so it was worth keeping it for a while.
Has nice acidity and tannins to keep it for another five years which is nice to see. I love these Napa Bordeaux blends.
Aged in French and American oak barrels for 23 months.

On the nose, blueberries, blackberries, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, bell pepper, tobacco, spices and light black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with nice long legs.
Dry on the palate with vanilla, chocolate, oak, blueberries, blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, spices and black pepper.
Long finish with big round tannins.
This is a great Reserve blend from Napa Valley. Still young, and a little hot on the attack, but would be gorgeous in five years.

Black fruit with soft tannins. A Merlot/Cab Franc blend. My better half who has a better palate than me loved it. Will be in my next newsletter.

Was really pleasantly surprised by this one. Good acid, tannins and structure with bright red fruit.
