Merlot always tastes like water to me unless blended with something else. After decanting this turns into something much different. One word describes it...smooth. This wine has low to medium tannins and has dark fruit flavors, think black cherries, blackberries, plums. At 13.9% it's an alcohol trip but doesn't burn at anytime.

A lite wine for a merlot I can taste the vanilla and chocolate undertones but it's far from silky and smooth. For everyday it's ok but at 16 a bottle it is overpriced for what they deliver. I would not go out of@my way to retry this
