Mar 28th, 2021A warm and wonderfully appealing nose of berry scone.
Saline soaked fruits here, in this medium bodied wine. Blackberry (fully ripe) prune, cranberry juice, mint, popsicle stick tannin and loquat acidity. A really lovely, enjoyable wine, from a winery I have come to really, really enjoy.

Mar 14th, 2021Warm black cherries and red plums with baking spices, oregano and terracotta.
Tart black cherries w some candied cherry notes, oregano, marjoram, pepper.
Had with lamb pizza w oregano and zahatar and wine really resonated w both of those flavors.
P.s. last bit leftover in the bottle held up surprisingly well stored in the fridge for over a week.

May 11th, 2021Go Zags! Very enjoyable wine but would not have guessed a sangiovese. Red currant, raspberry, sage, licorice, and vanilla notes.
