Morning Fog Livermore Valley Chardonnay

2016 Vintage - somewhat confused style.Wise tropical fruits lees contact -wish it was full barrel fermented or stainless steel not a mix of the two acid is a bit low but serviceable Central Coast Chardonnay

This yellow-gold wine rings the “old-style Cali” bell in all the right ways. A nose of apricots, mangoes and apples is helped along with the smell of buttered popcorn. Oak treats the palate as well, draping over the tropical fruit like a sunshade. The acidity is zesty, yet the mouthfeel tends toward creaminess due to the wine sitting on the lees for five months. The oak is a definite part of the wine, but the effect is softened enough so that it's a pleasure, not a pain.

An okay Chardonnay. Had the 2010 vintage. Oak and green apple, not buttery. It had a very tart finish which I didn’t care for.

Fresh fruity Livermore taste.

Good. Smooth. Hint of oak, but could use more. Not too sweet. Nothing super special but good for price ($14). Got at Bonnie Brad liquor.

Nothing special but good. Really good for price. Nice to have on hand for a cheaper bottle.
