Dateline: trapped in Miami thanks to American Airlines. Took the team to a nice steakhouse to make up for not being in Panama right now. The food is good. Waitstaff is terrific. Wine.... Meh.
It’s drinkable, of course, and not too oaked. Prefer it cold though, as it doesn’t offer much when warmed up a bit. Some butter, some cream, some indistinguishable industrial fruit flavors.

Feb 22nd, 2019Wondered if this bottle was bad per color. Then remembered a nicely aged Chenin Blanc that looked just like this and just needed time to blow off the funk!
Definitely getting oxidative characteristics! No vinegar detected. Bruised pear and apples, baked apple dumpling, hazelnuts, walnuts, honeycomb, and mild cheese rind! A very fun wine experience surprisingly in this value Chard.
