Bright medium ruby red. Needed a bit of time to open up. A bit spicy on the nose with pepper, anise, a little floral and red bramble berries. Medium tannins (5/10) balanced with the acidity. Similar on the palate with a light plus body. Roses on the palate with dark strawberries, and white pepper. Long and lingering finish. Would leave for a year or so before trying again. Drink till 2023. (89+)

Vinegar, anise, and potpourri on the nose. Exceptionally complex on the tongue smooth like a gem, taste of bright red cherry, rose blossoms, and grapefruit.

Really good stuff. Fruit tends toward purple with a silky mouthfeel. Lacks a bit in complexity, though. Would buy again.
