Wyndham Estate
George Wyndham Bin 555 Shiraz
George Wyndham became the father of Australian Shiraz after planting Australia's first commercial Shiraz vineyard in 1830. Aromas of dark red fruits and spicy notes. On the palate tart cherry flavors overwhelmed with pepper, cacao and oaky spices. Medium finish ending a bit out of balance. Pass. Tasting Sample!

Feb 4th, 2017Not too dry and almost fruity for a Shiraz. Very good!

Apr 26th, 2019This bottle runs us about $7 at the military instillation and have never seen it elsewhere. It’s easy to drink alone or with food. One of our favorite reds!

Dec 17th, 2017Surprisingly good, but not my cup of tea. I miss bit more peppery spiciness, lightly underlined tannins and a at least touch of old world earthiness and austerity - it is fruity side of Syrah/Shiraz, almost like a sour cherry confiture with sweeter black dried plum or ripe blackberry addition, another cons weaker nose (mainly some blackberries), but smooth and balanced body - easy sipper even on its own, and good value for money.
