McLaren Vale Old Vine Grenache

Fragrant in kirsch, spice, and minerality. Zesty and youthful, a little pinched at first but opening up. Great acids and some tannin gives nice structure.

Killer value Grenache - char and eucalyptus, graphite, with soft blackberry and black cherry notes. Acid driven, under ripe style - awesome stuff.

Really rich, more so than I typically like from Grenache, but the spice is nice and structure is well hung, with roasted and grilled meats this is a dandy.

Full of tough leather and cedar, this is a savoury wine with a formidable tannic presence. Quite brooding straight from bottle - left for a couple of hours in a decanter and this would be very good.

Super old vines. The vineyard is a beach. This pup could age for long time.

First Aussie Grenache interesting need to try more

Bigger style wine here, but deftly done. Great fruit with eucalyptus, spice, earth and med acidity. Nice Aussie wine.

Too astringent - had high hopes, a bit disappointed.

Very delicious wine, it surprised me with the silky fruit notes and texture!
