Baden Blauer Spatburgunder
Love this wine. Best value. Mulberry, spice, cinnamon, red fruits, sour cherry, rustic yet complex. Complex and silky with lovely tart cherry fruit and terrific freshness. Very linear and lovely mineral finish. Vibrant velvety tannins and as it opens up the depth is remarkable for such a value wine. Nice deep plummy mid.

1 person found it helpfulNov 27th, 2018Still young. Unintegrated wood notes on the nose. Needs an hour decant or 12-18 months to drink at its best. Having said that, a delicious wine. Remarkable freshness. Medium weight fruit. Great spice. Long finish. Juicy with great acidity. This could have a significantly higher score in a couple of years. Incredibly well made. Bought from Fass Selections. After 90 minutes. Very focused internal aromatics. Much more precise on the palate. Perfumey. Long. Really good.
