Viviser Gutedel
Astonishing value. Nose is granny smith apple skins. Minerals. Light flowers. Really expressive and lovely wet earth. Textured and rich but also energetic and acid driven. Lovely inner mouth confectionery aromas as well and sneaky length. Insane value. Really focused with terrific mouthfeel. Almost. 9.3.

Nov 3rd, 2022Lively nose with grilled nuts, salt, some light peach and melon notes. Honey notes as well. Very fruity for a Gutedel. Palate is rich and lively with great acids and freshness. Lovely combo of rich and tensile. Juicy! Just a lovely wine. Love to see this BTG all over the USA!
@Delectable Wine its called Viviser. Thanks!

It seems to me that if you blended Weiss Burgunder and Grau Bergunder it would be similar to this.
Natural-esque - on the edge for my tolerance to natty-ness; earthy, mushroom, wet wood. 6 years might have been a wee long to wait.

Fascinating nutty wine- when I smell it my brain is filled with images of chestnuts and almonds then minerality, this would be such a good card to have up your sleeve to pair in restaurant. I served it with smoked squash soup with ayurvedic spices. Niche and nice!
