Green apple developing elements of orange zest after an hour. Flinty, almost rusty in a good way. Drink this now if you can find it. Fully mature Grand Cru. Our go to with a good sushi roll :) — 6 years ago
Heavy, full structure Brunello. Earthy with iron in the finish. Still get some fruit but would have loved to try this a few years ago. — 6 years ago
Fell in love with this wine during our first visit to Tuscany. Technically a Chianti Classico Riserva but so much more. Small production from just outside Castellina, consistent expression of Tuscan finesse year after year (tasted and holding ‘08 onward). Dark but elegant, smooth but complex. This wine is drinking flawlessly now with continued aging potential. We ❤️ 🇮🇹. — 6 years ago
Soft and smooth. Crisp pear with the slightest of oak notes. Old world Chardonnay for a sunny day by the pool, mild cheeses, or white fish. Good value. — 6 years ago
Took some time to open - velvety and more fruit forward than expected. Much prefer the 2009. Still a great reminder of a lesser known Antinori gem. Gotta love BYOB at Hillstone. — 6 years ago
Beautiful bottle of wine. Smooth, fully developed, strong tannins...still has aging potential. Will drink next bottle in 5 years. — 6 years ago
Perfect on the back porch on a sunny day. Easy drinking. You can taste the oak but still crisp and fruit forward. We hadn’t had the chance to try the En Route Chard until now (we are big fans of the En Route Pinot Noir) but definitely impressed. @Carl Fischer found this for a great deal in our favorite Paoli PA wine store! — 6 years ago
