Deep purple in color with a light rim variation.... This wine is clean and bright with no signs of sediment... on the nose there are strong notes of bright cherry, fresh raspberry and blackberry, mocha, faint cinnamon, vanilla, porcini mushrooms and turned soil... the dry wine has medium tannins, medium minus acidity, medium alcohol and medium plus complexity with prominent bright cherry & cranberry and a lingering framboise finish... — 8 years ago

*as a note this identified this wine as Ribera del Duero but is in fact Rueda.
Clean and light gold in color with honeysuckle, crysanthium, mellow citrus, fresh cut apple, a subtle wet slate aspect and a hint of cream on the nose. Medium minus body, medium alcohol lead off with tart Granny Smith flavor and a lemon pith that isn't translated on the nose as well. A medium complexity finished with a medium plus acidity leaving the palate well lubricted for the next sip. — 8 years ago
Elegant with notes of quinine and eucalyptus.... — 9 years ago
Bold lemon pith, apricot and white flower essences with a more subtle mushroom, wet granite and lychee essence on the nose... medium body, medium plus acidity, medium length, medium complexity and medium alcohol... this wine is clean and refreshing... perfect for the 98 degree day that I’m currently experiencing! — 6 years ago
Found this in my cellar recently.... it held up nicely... still great color (very slight orange tinge) and exhibiting all the wonderful Characteristics of Russian River Valley... supple and balanced on the mid palate with a pleasant tangy acidity in the outro.... apparently Domaine Chandon no longer produces still wine... too bad. — 8 years ago
Nice bing cherry and petunia notes with a solid structure and delicate acidity in the mid palate leading to a raspberry tinged long finish... — 8 years ago

Forgot that I had this... it was bought at the winery in 2010... lush deep black fruit of stewed plum and prune upfront with a little bacon grease and mushroom and graphite. It has a candied Apple veneer to it and a subtle rose petal essence. Medium plus acidity, medium tannin, medium plus body, medium complexity and medium plus alcohol on the palate. A lingering yet soft cherry/plum flavor leads into a slight espresso finish... This is a big new world expression of Syrah — 6 years ago
