Decanted and tasted over 4 hours. The tannins and acidics seemed balanced with the fruit initially but the fruit didn’t stand up. The tastes are dark berries and graphite but one dimensional. I doubt this will get more interesting with more cellaring but it will last. I wouldn’t serve it for guests but nice for a weeknight treat with a steak and salad. — 3 years ago
Michael Jordan at his peak. Purebred. Only sorry I didn’t call and have it decanted 12 hours ago. Smooth and effortless. Balanced palate and appropriate fruit. Got better by the minute — 3 years ago
Delicious medium body chard. Creamy but not buttery. Oak is pushed a bit. Fruit is a little zesty, lemon peel, and maybe slight nuttiness, macadamian? I like it, young obviously. Keep it cellared and come back to it in Fall 2024 or beyond. — 2 years ago
Read the reviews on the 2017 and was intrigued. Opened in the morning and sampled throughout day while raking leaves. Finished at dinner. The wine is precise, balanced and interesting. The tannins dominate and are refined, supple and then linger. The fruit is primarily plum with cherry. Tobacco comes a bit later. No clues how this will evolve but. note to self, wait till 2024 or later to rake the leaves again. — 3 years ago
2018 is a beaut and drinkable today but positioned for the long game. Fun, spry and lively. Balanced with softer tannins that will last. The taste is multilayered. Berries both dark and light. Not fully ripened cherry, blueberry with perfume and floral scents. Nice minerality and graphite edges. Luv this wine! Wait 2-3 more years before another pop. — 2 years ago

Favorite Morlet Pinot Noir from our recent tasting. Delicately balanced 2014 Pinot that has years to mature. Great nose. The fruit is a bit tart cherry and base of blue fruit like blackberry and cassis. No complexity has developed yet but I’ll come back in 2-3 years and expect the subtlety to emerge. — 3 years ago
Shocked. A top notch RRV Pinot. Let it breath a bit. Had this first in their cellar. At home with some air it opened up nicely. Mix of cherries and darker berries with enough structure to think it may age better interestingly. Calling tg tomorrow to order another case. — 3 years ago

Coravined a glass of 2017 for curiosity. A Malbecian powerhouse. Best left in the garage for now. The dark fruits of cassis, dried plums, luxardo cherries dominate. Subtle earth mixes with red man tobacco chew are the wines foundation. The tannins are a bit sharp but lack depth. I think this is needs another 5 years before piercing another full bottle. — 2 years ago
