Honey, chamomile and flint ... Lots of flint — 9 years ago
Had an Austrian red 1-2 at Terroir Tribeca last night. Started with the 2013 Moric Blaufrankish. Inky like Malbec and lots of savory blackfruit and some pepper but jolt of acid saved the day on the finish. — 9 years ago
Started the birthday weekend off right last night with my sweetie and a bottle of the 2010. Layered power nuanced with silky tannins. The wine was really good too. — 9 years ago
At Terroir in Tribeca. Nice marriage of the 3C blend. Cinsault aromatics on the nose. Cab hits palette first followed by burst of cherries and slight white pepper from Cinsault. Carignan adds some additional tannins and acid lift that seals the deal. — 9 years ago
Had a glass last night at Terroir Tribeca. Big acid rush and white pepper kick paired well roasted/caramelized Brussels sprouts, onions and pine nuts — 9 years ago

Austrian red #2 at Tribeca Terroir: the 2013 Judith Beck Zweigelt. Since its a Blaufrankish cross, you get plenty of brooding black fruit and pepper. There is some Pinot cherriness from the St. Laurent, but overall a little too silky and flat for me. — 9 years ago
