Reds are hit or miss from upstate New York. This one was pretty good after it aired a bit. Nice berry hints, not too tanic, a bit earthy. I still prefer whites from this winery but this red passed the test. — 3 years ago
Nov 3, 2018. Dinner w/ Jack D, KK, and J2, to celebrate car deal. 😁 Purchased 2 bottles at TTW special wine club tasting, deeply discounted, drink now price. Smooth tannins, yummy CDP, retaining earthiness and some spice. Drank both bottles. 😳 — 6 years ago
What a difference a day makes. Scored this wine an incredible 9.5 three years ago. Now I can only give it a 8.9 at best. I couldn’t get over the oak that kept overruling any kind of fruit that I think was hiding somewhere. After 3 hours of decanting it gained a bit more complexity but still far off the previous mark. — 6 years ago

Nose has grilled lemons, lemon buttercream, lime zest, distant brown butter, orange zest, dried apricot and (minor) struck flint.
Palate has dried lemon peel, pineapple core, buttercream, toasted walnuts, warm banana with faint sweetness on the very long finish with medium acidity. A great wine, decanted 4H and will appreciate at least another 3-4H of opening. Future bottles may be 2024-26+. Very good now, maybe one of the best FLX Chardonnay's I've experienced.
Partial Appassimento method for a portion of the grapes, really yields some extra character and depth to the wine. Only guy doing this in the FLX, Morten Hallgren, to the best of my knowledge. I'm coming to the altar here, it's the right way to handle his Chardonnay style. 👍
$24 direct from the winery cellar, to our cellar, to our glasses tonight. Being in the wine club has good benefits. 👌 — 4 years ago

Someone needs to correct the name on this app and I can’t ever get anyone to respond, but...this Cab was fantastic and got better after being opened for an hour or two. Dark fruit and good tannins. — 4 years ago
Monthly WTF guys blind tasting group. This month was our annual, and famed, Left Bank vs Right Bank theme. All wines served blind as usual. Started off with a Rosé and a champagne. Great night.
This is in a good spot now, but will benefit from another 3-5years. A little modern in style as it seems Napa cab-esque...baked fruit spectrum (red, blue and black), graphite, and baking spices on the nose with herbal notes and bay leaf on the palate. I called this ‘12 Left Bank. Thanks @Jack Thompson . — 6 years ago
