Recently went to tasting featuring bunch of “TheCalling” Wines. Tasted this ‘14 Pinot 2yrs ago-developed nicely. Sports commentator Jim Nantz & wine guru Peter Deutsch met by chance at CT restaurant, each having dinner w/friends. Jim had a passion for wine and was exploring the next step when Peter stopped by the table, that meeting started a collaboration. Ruby with berry fruit aromas and complex spice. On the palate cherry with vanilla oak and pepper spice. Lingering finish ending with cacao & oak notes. — 5 years ago

Good minerality and acidity of a clean riesling with a touch of what tastes like french oak, very nice, a little warmer than most deutsch — 4 years ago
What a hedonistic wine, and in all the right ways ✨ Fruit is sourced from the Adler Deutsch Vineyard. Incredibly pure, polished, and expressive. A sensual, tantalizing love note laced in blossoming plumes of graphite dust, succulent plums, plump blackberries, juicy blueberries, Christmas spices from Granny’s cabinet, and fresh eucalyptus. This juice is the real deal. — 5 years ago
By chance, sports commentator Jim Nantz & wine industry entrepreneur Peter Deutsch were together at a restaurant in Greenwich, CT, each having dinner with friends, things developed & The Calling was born. Dark Ruby with aromas of perfectly ripe berry fruits & earthy spice. On the palate cherry and strawberry fruit with spice, cola and earthy notes. Good balance with sturdy tannins needing more time. Lingering finish ending with earthy spice notes. Nice! — 6 years ago
