Most memorable taste this trip to Italy...
Nebbiolo from the Valtellina DOCG, lighter than its Barolo/Barbaresco brethren. Valtellina means of the valley, an alpine valley in Lombardy. 2001 at 30€ at Agriturismo Il Ronco, tasted with moist bresaola, both made just kilometers away near Lecco on Lake Como. What grows together goes together sure brought out whatever dried rose petal action was in that beef! 😍😍😍 — 10 years ago

This maker is special to us because our friends stayed with this family at their agriturismo and had a wonderful time meeting them. This wine aged well too. After about an hour the tertiary flavors were more dominant, but up front it was in good form. — 3 years ago
