Blend of three grapes (Sami in Georgian) Alexandreuli, Saperavi and Merlot. Fantastic. — 10 years ago
Lovely bottle design. Aroma is forest and wild berries from the bramble. Flavors are nimble and make me think of fresh cherry/berry fruit in an all wood sauna. Really bright, but supple and herbal. Packed with flavor. Tart, dry and full all at the same time. This is amazing stuff. Complex and vibrant with some density and plenty of zing. A style apart, but a delicious example of how they make red wine in that part of the world. — a month ago
Cherry vanilla sponge cake, agave sweetness, Dessert in a bottle — 6 years ago
Ripe cherries, followed by a hint of tartness. Complemented an early Valentine’s dinner well. Bacon-wrapped filet mignon with balsamic-glazed roasted vegetables finished with chocolate covered strawberries. The sweetness of this lovely Georgian wine complemented the whole meal. — 2 years ago

This wine is a bit on the sweet side, but not completely dessert wine sweet. It is dark purple in the glass and smells of plum and currant. The palate offers those dark fruit flavors, with little else to get in the way, save for an earthy note that drapes over them. I would pair this wine with a fruit and cheese plate, or a pork dish in a sweet glaze. — a month ago
