So stealth. From a mid-shoulder bottle of light color. Even the nose doesn't give it away. Great layers of blood, roast, earth and spice. Fruit be damned (ok some stewed) lovely balance of acid and tannins -well-knit and harmonious. — 9 years ago

Started out more herbal. Opens up with air to old school, barnyard funk, tobacco, and dried cherry. Juicy, fresh, straight forward. Tannins are firm. Good QPR on a solid vintage. Decant or hold for a few more years. — 8 years ago
