Lots of honey up front, not an Amber honey but a bright fresh melted honey. — a year ago

Wow, never heard of this producer - found them at Specs in TX. Gorgeous right out of the shoot: inky ruddy garnet, effusive nose of rich ripe fruit of all color, sweet exotic spice & pepper, vanilla & cocoa… just decadent. Lush on palate, tremendous flavors, so generous and well knit. Balanced & seamless through lingering finish. This has great stuffing but not overdone. Had a run of great Zin lately which is encouraging. Bump for QPR — 2 years ago

This was a pleasant surprise - never heard of this No Cal estate, but they’re doing an Italian varietal field blend. This had some bottle age, but still showed an inky color w/no visible bricking. Huge nose right out of the bottle with all manner of red fruit, vanilla & sweet oak, some herbs, licorice and soil. Fleshy & smooth on palate w/flavors matching nose, had a great balance of tannins alongside some juicy acidity. Had this w/homemade bolognese. Med bodied, med acidity and just tasty! — 2 years ago
