Laphroaig Cairdeas Triple Wood — 5 years ago
Bright golden color. Subtle peat on the nose with iodine/brine. Some oak. Bright sweetness as it hits the tongue which quickly moves towards saltiness and slight peat. The alcohol takes over with a warming and slight burning sensation as it washes down. The finish is long and warming with the smokiness of the peat taking over. Balanced yet interesting. — 7 years ago

Laphroaig Cairdeas NAS 2015 200 Anniversary. Light on the peat with a bit of sweetness on the nose. Carries into the palate and finish. Peat and sweetness with maybe some butterscotch. People said this was powerful. The finish lasts a long time but I found it light in its feet. Starting to enjoy these mild peat versions. Category
