B. Mascarello makes some of the most beautiful wine in the world. I recently had the 2006 and cannot stop thinking about it! Truly a great producer!

@Hugh O'Riordan A beauty, very floral at about 6h. The group consensus had this as the second best bottle of the night, all served blind. I have notes posted on the same bottle I pulled from our cellar earlier this year. '67 is a great vintage, still time in front of this one.

This '81 was amazing, and showed many facets through the evening.
The Préfert was really wonderful, the first time drinking Isabel's wines, delicious.

I fondly remember this wine. Had a couple of bottles in my dad’s cellar in the late 80’s. Some field mice got in and gnawed the top of the capsules off only two bottles in the cellar: both of the ‘81 Beaucastels! They knew. (They left the corks intact and the bottles were stellar.)

@Tom Casagrande One of the group members has a very deep, old, and obscure Italian biased cellar. I think he told us the winery hasn't been in production for a few decades 🤔
