This is hearty CF…full and textured…all the necessary criteria for a big meal and meaningful varietal expression. Think Pollak CF reserve! — 3 years ago

Solid vintage year for the reserve cab. It’s one of the better balanced mid-Atlantic cabs you can find. It has the density and complexity of a top tier cab you’d expect from.more acclaimed Napa vineyards - but without the the ‘in your face’ tannins. Nice job Penn’s Woods! — 3 years ago
I’m not typically a white or sweet wine person but this 2020 Traminette nailed it. Slight amber color. Tropical fruit on the nose. Slight effervescence on the palate with silky tropical fruits and pear. Pleasant gentle lingering mineral finish. Refreshing but with substance. — 4 years ago

It is a lighter and extremely well balanced and drinkable fruit forward low tannin Pinot Noir. I’d score higher but the price for this low volume production is unrealistic. — 3 years ago

Cellar Beast Winehouse Riverbench Vineyard Pinot Noir Reserve 2022, Pennsylvania
Reddish in color with medium intensity.
Fruity nose with bing cherries, raspberries, cooked strawberries, light oak, spices and chocolates.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with ripe strawberries, cherries, spices, light oak and chocolates.
Tangy and spicy on the finish with soft tannins, raspberries and peppercorn.
This Pinot Noir is made in Pennsylvania, but the grapes are from Santa Maria Valley in california.
This Single Vineyard is drinking very nicely now, and very true to the Terroir. Tangy and interesting. Soft and easy drinking.
Good by itself as a sipping wine. I gave it a light chill and had it by the pool.
Grapes were aged in (17% new) French oak barrels for 9 months.
12.8% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
