Lovely Sonoma Pinot! Not too jammy at all, balanced well in fact. — 11 years ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, earth, chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn and herbs.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
Delicious right out of the bottle and better after 90 minutes of airtime.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
A blend of 37% Cabernet Franc, 37% Petit Verdot, 19% Tempranillo, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon (78%) with some Malbec (16%) and Petite Sirah (6%) blended in. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of ripe black and blue fruit, lavender, tree bark and savory herbs. Flavors of black berry/currants/raspberry, blueberries, black olives, dark chocolate, black licorice and those savory herbs. Long and lingering (and beautifully harmonious) dusty finish. Slightly chewy tannins and full bodied. Rustic elegance. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful bottle, Petey! — 4 days ago
