Still youthful. Nose of dark fruits and truffles — 8 years ago
Required decanting. Tasted great with smooth tannins — 8 years ago
Vibrant, well balanced between earth tones and deep fruit, mild tannins, well integrated! — 3 months ago
2000 Troplong Mondotte. a nice bordeaux though thin on fruit. i would have liked to see more fruit and more richness. this was thin and the tannins were more astringent than i would expect in a 16 year old wine. — 8 years ago
Really impressive! — 9 years ago
2018 vintage. Co-owned by Stephan von Neipperg (La Mondotte and Canon La Gaffelière in Saint-Emilion). A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. Very attractive nose with black cherries, blackberries and strawberry marmelade, mixed with smokey oak and Provence herbs. Medium to full-bodied, with concentrated black fruit, smooth tannin and great spicy length. Super sexy hedonistic Bordeaux. Amazing value too. Highly recommended. — 3 years ago
Fantastic this time around. Maybe a bottle issue last time. Maybe a palate issue. Who cares. This is why we do this. Dark fruits, barnyard, gym socks, forest floor and mushroom flavors dominate. Concentrated, good backbone, with velvety tannins. Long life ahead. — 8 years ago
