2006. Yummy. A touch fresher, more elegant than the brooding 2010 D'Aiguilhe also tasted same day. Supple with plenty of power. I imagine driving a Porsche would feel similar. — 9 years ago
3.4. Very nice red Bordeaux blend. On sale for $23.99 — 5 months ago
Amazing. It's fruity, but I've felt only a sweet, ripe plum. But the best is the rest: spicy aromas with leather and smoke like from smokehouse. I simply love it! — 5 years ago
This is nothing to write home about, but it's pretty solid for about $12. To my untrained palate, there are two kinds of not so great red wines: the ones that are over-oaked and have a bitter, astringent finish and the ones that are a little too light and the nose is a little too faint. The former isn't worth drinking. This is definitely the latter. There's nothing objectionable, but it's also not likely to be your first choice unless it's a Tuesday and you're the only one having a glass worth dinner. — 8 years ago
Last night we had close friends over and I stopped to buy a bottle for the gathering. I picked up a Jeraboam of the 2012 Château D'Aiguilhe Comtes Von Neipperg which is made up of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
The aromas are of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, black currant, chocolate, violet, mint, baking spice and earth.
On the palate the nose is confirmed with notes of black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, licorice, spices and wet gravel.
This wine went over very well with our guests though unable to finish the whole jeraboam. The wine is full bodied and very velvety with medium + acidity and medium + sandy tannins that lead into a chocolatey fruit filled finish. A wonderful start to the weekend with friends that always helps make the wine special. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 5 years ago

Good solid Bordeaux. I mean it’s hard when so many people are trying to find something unique or interesting or a subtle twist on this or that flavor. But when you get something that’s unapologetically and obviously made by somebody who just enjoys making good Bordeaux it stands out. Depths of ripe and savory flavors, all sorts expression of earth and cooked berry and subtle hints of herbs and flowers. Definitely enjoyed every sip. — 2 months ago
