mighty bordeaux, full bodied, dense and deep. ruby red fading into rusty brown. earthy flavors, wet soil with ripe fruits. perfect year. — 2 years ago
45+ minutes open in the bottle. Dark cherry color. Nose filled with black cherry, tobacco, and subtle French terroir. Cherry, caramel, and tar on the palate. Tastes like candy! Lacks power and tannins as the Merlot dominates. Very long finish. Very similar to the 2005 Chateau Dassault but twice the price. Definitely drink sooner rather than later. Unfortunately I just bought 2 bottles of the 2000 and am concerned, especially since 2005 was such an awesome vintage. — 7 years ago
2020 vintage. Once part of the huge Soutard estate, this Château was known as Petit Faurie de Souchard until 1969. In the 1922 edition of Cocks & Feret, it was considered as first growth quality and stylistically somewhere in between the great wines of Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. As in January 2014, it was bought by the Dassault family, it was expected to be incorporated into Dassault, but that doesn't seem to be the plan. Attractive perfume of red fruit, cuberdon, flowers, and spicy oak. Lush, with good depth and concentration, fresh acidity and a long, spicy finish. Very good value. Abv. 14,5%. — 2 years ago
PnP’d. Purple color. Had trouble differentiating between Napa, Aussie Shiraz, and Bordeaux. Very similar to Chateau Dassault, which I love. Age did wonders for this wine. Great combination of dark cherries, oak, and tar. Powerful but not terribly deep. Medium minus finish. — 6 years ago

PnP. Great Bordeaux value. Classic Saint Emilion wine yet more reserved flavors. Tannins definitely present and has some time left, but not much. I do get some stewed cherries in addition to cedar and pencil shavings. — 9 days ago
