Château De Portets

Château de Portets

Grand Vin Ancienne Baronnie de Gascq Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

2018 vintage. The standard Château de Portets is pretty good, but this is the "Grand Vin". Concentration, impeccable balance, complexity, subtle spices, and length. Classic Graves that sells for a song. One of the finest values in Bordeaux. Abv. 14%. — 9 months ago

15 Barons du Château de Portets Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

Open, friendly, typically Graves nose of moist gravelly earth, cigar box, and plummy fruit. Soft and mouthfilling. Very nice balance. Dark plummy fruit, earthy minerality, no noticeable new oak. Ready now and will last a few more years. — 8 years ago

Château de Portets

Ancienne Baronnie de Gascq Graves Dry Sec Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

2019 vintage. Not much information on the estate's website, second hand info suggests a blend dominated by Sémillon (60%) with Sauvignon Blanc (30%) and Muscadelle. Seriously good wine with impeccable balance, complexity and length. One wonders why they sell it so cheap. Around 10 euros. Abv. 12,5 %. — 3 years ago

Château Port du Roy

Bordeaux Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend

The Merlot is pleasant and round. Fruity without being too sugary. Wild strawberries are easy to drink when the vanilla is so soft. Great value. Très bon rapport qualité - prix pour une rondeur de fraise des bois sans trop de vanille. Excellente entrée de gamme de la part de la maître de chai du Château de Portets. — 9 years ago

La Proportion Dorée Sonoma County Sémillon Blend 2012

Perfect blend. Almost exactly the same proportion of Sauvignon Blanc 32%, Sémillon 66%, Muscadelle 2% as the famous Château de Portets, Graves, France (30/60/10%)! — 7 years ago

I really couldn't tell the difference between this 2012 & 2014 💯 pointer, had an allocation of 18 bottles & 4 mags of that 💯 pointer, sold those & drink the previous years.
