Clos des Forêts is a monopole of Domaine de l’Arlot in the commune of Premeaux-Prissey. It’s located south of Les Saint Georges with Les Didiers directly in between and planted exclusively to Pinot Noir.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2021 “Clos des Forêts” pours a bright ruby with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with tart forest strawberries, tart brambles, cranberries, orange rind, charming old-world notes of horse blanket, mushrooms, sous bois, and soft warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and deliciously savory. I realize the 2021 vintage isn’t for everyone but I find the wines to be charming and this was a lovely example. Drink now through 2036. — 2 months ago

Quite perfumed, airy and ethereal. Reminded me of Domaine de la Cote and Prieure Roch. That biodynamic nose from Premeaux. Pretty floral notes with bright cherries and raspberries. I was surprised when the wine was revealed. Unlike any Heitz Lochardet I've had so far. — 6 years ago

Darker than the Girardin Vignes Franches, richer also with ripe attack,
this had stunning dark fruit, soft tannins, dark spice notes, cherry
puree, perfect 1er cru stature, very nice, if not as elegant as the
Girardin or as silky and pedigreed as the de Montille. Located in
Premeaux at the far south end of the NSG AOC, the richer soils do indeed
impart a darker, richer style. Still had another 5-10 years ahead of it
as did the other Burgs. Pleasantly surprised. — 2 years ago

Very nice wine with light reductive notes but not enough to be trendy. Smooth but more than enough complexity to hold your interested. I would love a case of this to drink this summer. The only producer I’ve visited in Burgundy in the village of Premeaux — 4 years ago

Fantastic region-level white Burgundy by Didier Fornerol (former cellar master at Domaine de L’Arlot, back in the 1990s). It comes from a tiny 0.20 hectare plot in Corgoloin, the southernmost village of the Côte de Nuits (it is one of the villages without appellation, lumped together Comblanchien, Brochon, Fixin and Premeaux under the Côtes de Nuits-Villages appellation). Aged for 12 months in oak barrels, 20% new. Classic-style, quite oaky, with notes of vanilla, minerals, beeswax and a hint of fennel. Medium to full-bodied, rich and layered. Citrus flavors and some minerals. Long finish, great texture — 2 years ago
