Burgundian style with typical cab franc markers. A little brett, rustic, some green pepper. High toned red with a very dark fruited bass note. Lithe and firm. Not super concentrated. After 3 hours starts to soften. Probably needed a few more years in the cellar. If you like the funk this rips with a fatty steak. // edit: got very pretty on night two. Great wine. Definitely worth trying again but I felt this was a bit one dimensional. A lot of pear, white fruit and slight apple, brioche and with slight acidity and but didn't change much after. I tried in 2025 so its 17 years old so maybe its past its peak or its waning but its my first wine of this age so maybe i need to try more. Either way, it's a delicious wine — 22 days ago

Wow. Brambly, crunchy, blackberries, clean, linear and expansive…. Subtle effervescence that held throughout the bottle. Buy all of them if you come across. It’s one of those bottles you ask, what else can you give? A very much perfect bottle but I can’t give 100 for some reason. — 3 years ago
