My husband and I love the old world style of fermentation, creating a barn style of wine...tobacco,cassis and leather...there is an elegance to this style of red blend. I have no idea the actual grape varietal but do think there is some Sangiovese in this bottle of French wine. I wish I had grabbed the one other bottle on the shelf now. Sad. — 4 years ago

2015 vintage. Note that Haut de Poujeaux is not the second wine of Château Poujeaux (that is called "Salle de Poujeaux"), but a wine originating from 3,5 hectares outside of the Moulis appellation, carrying the Haut-Médoc AOC. Only 20000 bottles are produced, compared to 250000 of Poujeaux and 80000 of Salle de Poujeaux. This 2015 is made from 60% merlot and 40% cabernet sauvignon and it's absolutely delicious. Very elegant, medium-bodied with supple tannin that makes it already enjoyable now. Terrific value at 18 euro. — 6 years ago
