Cisplatino Tannat-Merlot Blend 2020

Cute label. Good name. Color is light, but ruby red. Smell is toast with berry-grape jam. Hint of licorice stuff. Flavors are balanced and complex. Licorice and smoke. Flavors are awesome. Interesting and exciting. Bite with perfect berry compote. Cassis in there. Elegant and fresh. Nice stuff. Muy Bueno. — 3 months ago

Río de Los Pájaros Reserve Tannat Blend

Strawberry scent, liquor smell, fortified wine smell, vanilla bean smell, oak, fruit roll up, very intriguing, makes for a very pleasant experience, savory. Long lingering finish, — 3 years ago

Progreso Tannat 2018

Dark red with near black core. Blackberry, black cranberry, and a hint of birch on the nose. Full bodied palate echoes the nose adding firm tannins (natch) and medium plus acidity surrounded by lush fruit. Enjoy with beef dishes or hearty stews. Great intro to the variety. Drink now through 2028. — 4 years ago

RPF Reserva Personal Progreso Tannat 2021

Inky crimson color, high opacity, tawny rim.

Mushroom, forest, petrichor, cinnamon as a matter olfactory.

Thick, medium to full bodied, light acid

Lots to consider with this varietal.
Green pepper, smoky peanut...like piles of dried leaves.

Love a nice light Rossesse to wash down an Italian dinner every so often.

RPF Reserva Personal de la Familia Progreso Tannat 2017

Dark ruby and intense in color. Nose of cigar box and leather which developed and a matured cherry flavour boosted.
A multidimensional palate with good structure of tanins, long finish.
Remarkable.

Río de Los Pájaros Reserve Progreso Torrontés 2020

Star bright yellow gold. Inviting nose of earthy lemon and marzipan. Firm, zingy acidity from entry to finish on the medium full palate which yields lemon zest, concrete block, and citrus rind. Finish is moderate and lemony. This full-bodied style of Torrontes is an excellent foil for hearty seafood or pork dishes: a perfect white counterpart to Uruguay’s signature red variety, Tannat. Drink now through 2025 or a little beyond. — 3 years ago
