2011 Pommier Chablis 1er Cru "Beauroy." Low acid vintage means you can enjoy the wines earlier and don't have to wait. Love where 2011 is. Big, ripe, expressive Pommier nose of seashells/rich apple fruit, umami and a general sense of cleanliness. Rich and viscous on the palate with low-ish acidity but sneaky salinity on the finish. In the context of the wine and the vintage this is great now. I don't think it will get any better. It is superb now. Plump yet Chablis-like. Lovely salt and salt like extract on the finish. Amazing texture here and great length. — 11 years ago
2020 | Pinot Noir

Such a ridiculous Pinot Noir, the fruit is giving 110%, crazy value for ~$20!

The 2016 Chablis Côte de Léchet 1er Cru has a gorgeous bouquet with green apple, flint, honeysuckle and light jasmine aromas. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, discrete use of wood here (30% barrel ageing for 18 months) with a beautifully poised, effervescent, orange zest-tinged finish that lingers. Fantastic considering the challenges of the growing season. Tasted blind at the BIVB Chablis tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2018) — 8 years ago
Terrific rich and deep nose of savory minerals and an elite airiness. Also a hint if that classic Pommier richness. Pure and fresh. Palate is deep, rich, savory and incisive. Mouth-filling and deep. Awesome structure and finesse. So well made. Flavors of lemon, lemon pith and some savory elements. Has years to go. Truly great. — 6 years ago
Chalk, lemon zest, orange flower / some salinity on palate / light, direct, linear, with an acid structure that doesn’t overwhelm - nice balance on suppleness late palate — 8 years ago
