La Grange Vieilles Vignes Sèvre-et-Maine Muscadet 2015

Mondays are made for Muscadet, especially the 2015 Luneau-Papin La Grange. This Phosphorescent record is stuck to my record player these days. Both are a delight with fresh Ling Cod. — 7 years ago

Mommessin

Les Caves Grandes Exception Moulin-à-Vent Gamay 2020

In 1865, Jean-Marie Mommessin founded winery. In 1889, Mommessin acquired La Grange Saint-Pierre, ancient buildings in Macon, originally belonged to Abbey of Cluny. Its key, the Key of St. Peter, became famous house emblem. Ruby color with aromas of dark berry fruit with notes of oak and floral. On the palate flavors of blackberry and currants with oak, floral, spice and earthy notes. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak and mineral character. — a year ago

Easy going in nature and not particularly complex. Glossy, not oily, in texture and shows reasonable depth. — 9 years ago

La Grange Vieilles Vignes Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie Melon de Bourgogne 2013

On night one, pretty much closed with some nice minerality and lemon. after .3 days in the fridge all these wonderful melon and other fruits come out to balance the acidity and it becomes a masterwork of Muscadet.. buy a case and age 8-10 years folks.. gorgeous — 9 years ago
