2005 vintage. Decanted and tasted over the course of two hours. Good fill, great cork. Perfect picture show sed. Vibrant color and nose. A modicum of richness up front initially but not to return. Medium body dropped down to light medium body. Thinning out meant slightly more acidity. That wasn't exactly undesirable. Currently tasting like a Napa version of LLC St. Julien (non-mountain terroir lean and mean). As it stands, will hold fast in this presentation for another 5 years. Not improving and feel it's goin' south after that 5-spot. 12.10.23. — a year ago

Northern rhone, cool climate California. Earth, blood, strawberries, boysenberry, menthol, rock. Very good with food. So different from Zaca Mesa I had last night. I like both for different reasons. — 3 months ago
Still great. I was wondering if it would hold 10 years after release, and it’s a hint more rusty, but the flavor has even more of that complex ‘old-wine’ stuff in it. — 10 months ago
Has a unique character, agree with another review about the “funk” in wonderful way — 3 months ago
Bright cherries and char. Decent amount of minerality. Getting a rubbery quality at the tail end. Chewy and delicious. — a year ago

2021 vintage. Tasted four times in just over a year. Consistent with body (medium), spice factor (check) and finish (lengthy). Enjoyed yet again with the owner, Andrew. 11.20.24. — a month ago
