Has a unique character, agree with another review about the “funk” in wonderful way — 25 days ago
Wonderfully structured complex wine with black cherry herbs, chocolate black currant, fine acidity bit of slate nice Dusty tanins clean finish great with grilled steak all that and only 13% — 2 months ago
Substance makes one of the best <$20 wines I’ve had in the last year. So I had expectations. Jeb Dunnuck rated this very high and I agree: a nose that reminds me of northern Rhône with a meaty flinty mineral quality complimented by violets and purple fruit. The wine has a lithe quality with dry tannins tending towards an earl grey tea in character and medium finish I wish was longer. Overall, a good wine. Is it 3x’s better than the cheaper bottle….I would say yeah…sure. 2018 vintage, Powerline vineyard. — a month ago
Still great. I was wondering if it would hold 10 years after release, and it’s a hint more rusty, but the flavor has even more of that complex ‘old-wine’ stuff in it. — 8 months ago

Northern rhone, cool climate California. Earth, blood, strawberries, boysenberry, menthol, rock. Very good with food. So different from Zaca Mesa I had last night. I like both for different reasons. — 6 days ago
