Cloudy urine colour. With marshmallow creme enamel topping. Alpine sunrise lacing. Yeasty nose shows chive and beet greens. Grapefruit and black lime. Full palate creaminess turns sharp with lemon pith and oil surfacing. Microgreens and dried apricot form the parameters while yeasty pomelo notes bolster the core. Very zingy finish that refreshes the palate and adds substance.

90 just for its smoky dried grass aroma with weed notes :) — 6 years ago
Surprised on how good this is given the bargain price - don’t let the under $10 fool you here: these are good grapes and a nice, hearty Chard with a good flavor and sharp citrusy finish. Lawson Station convenience store for the win on wine! — 6 years ago

I love this Australian screw top. Honey and fruit leather with a lacroix. Very taste fresh and deep stoned summer sunset or maybe a sunrise when you’re Tripping — 8 years ago

Very nice. Unique. Full body. Refreshing — 4 years ago
This was crisp! I love nothing more than crisp, refreshing, graceful, off-dry, so smooth and bubbly on my palette (live for that quality - always makes me smile like a morning sunrise), delicate fruitful aroma without overpowering the senses! Riesling to me is that wine that you can open up anytime of the day. With or without food! And I say that rarely! I would pair this maybe with a spicy pasta or jalapeño poppers! Riesling is usually my happy place! It still is, but I’m noticing a growing affinity for reds lately. Surprise! Surprise! None other than to me! — 6 years ago
Mikey's Strawberry Lemonade! Tequila sunrise! Mimosa! — 7 years ago
At the price, this is probably one of the best QPR buys in SB. Pours a light straw into the glass. Nose of lemon and peach. The entry of this wine is mostly lemon rind, and some pineapple. Finishes with a hint of limestone on the palate, strong lemon notes, some tart, makes your mouth pucker. Good grip to this wine. Will be a great summer drinker, if I can make any of my remaining bottles last that long. Sadly, none of them will make it I'm almost certain. — 8 years ago
A gentleman told me that he and I would always be friends. We shared a plate of cherries and drank this wine while watching a sunrise. I never saw him again. — a year ago

Value every moment and sipping
Focus on the nose your visuals the aroma and even the sounds yet not so authentic and professionalism of wine tastings
But this Chardonnay offers me a whole journey of white lily flower and tangerine full of citrus and almond butter on palate, so depth rich of taste and minerals

We had this with Oxtail dinner at Rattray’s in Mala Mala last night.
Not my usual detailed notes. This is ripe & lush like the Nederburg but with more complexity.
The palate showed ripe and slightly candied fruits of; dark currants, blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries and a hint of blue fruits. Nice softly layered baking spices, dark chocolate, mocha, rich, dark soils, some dry top, well done granitic minerals and fresh red and dark florals. The acidity round & beautiful. The finish, ripe, lush, well balanced & polished. Good QPR here.
Photos of, today’s Mala Mala sunrise, baby calf elephant along with the nearly 40 in the herd and a total of over 100 Elephants seen today, playful male dominance of the Giraffe’s intertwining and smacking necks/mid section and the grand prize, male spotted Leopard. An amazing finish to our last day. — 7 years ago
I really want to like this wine. I will say that this has definitely changed, but I'm not so sure that the overall score changes much for me (last note was 8.9 for different reasons). This is not a zin that is true to form. I get tart fruit here, and plum. I don't think either of those characteristics belongs in a zin. I am happy with the weight, structure, and finish of this wine. It is a well made wine which is made by a winemaker that is to be respected. But the wine just doesn't do it. More reminiscent of zinfandel via the nose, which is a little bit brambly in characteristic, some flowers, some black and purple fruits. But the entry is sharp, tart, plum, some raisin, fig, earthy middle, acidic finish which has a mild tannin. Definitely wouldn't kick it out of the bed for eating crackers, but I would have guessed that this was a mixed grapes wine that was headed downhill maybe a touch. — 8 years ago
