Sperss Barolo Nebbiolo 1989

From a 3 liter bought on release by a wine friend. Amazingly good and tannins resolved. Wish I had had more than I did . . . — 10 days ago

IDDA Etna Rosso Nerello Blend 2017

The Gaja and Graci combo wine from etna! Very fun. Really enjoyed, though at this point it still needs a good bit of air. Very nice nose. Perfect pairing with burgers - just the right mix of fruit, tannins, and acid. — a month ago

Pieve Santa Restituta Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2010

Vintage 2010 | I consider Brunello di Montalcino to be the greatest Italian wine. This is a nice example. Powerful. — 17 days ago

DaGromis Barolo Nebbiolo 2014

Pretty much all tertiary tonight. Started more aromatic than the two Barbarescos but also seemed more earthy, maybe even a hint of Brett and funk. Tar, chocolate, spice, wet leaves. — 15 days ago

Tannic at the open and smoother into the finish. This one will be even better with more years behind it. — a month ago

Ca' Marcanda Vistamare Toscana Vermentino Viognier 2022

Tucked atop a steep hill in the Langhe is the small village of Barbaresco, home of the GAJA winery. Medium lemon color with aromas of delicate tropical, stone & citrus fruits with herb floral notes, blend of Vermentino and Viognier. On the palate rich pear and peach flavors, nutty herb and spicy notes. Long finish ending with fruit, herbs and generous mineral character. Nice! — 2 months ago
