First bottle of honeymoon wine at the Mark Hopkins InterContinental In San Francisco! It smells like the best piece of baked brioche bread, the crust specifically. Surprisingly light on the bubbles, almost a pet-nat level of effervescence, but the flavor is straight acidic red fruits, with strawberry and some lemon citrus, and a delicious dry finish. The finish is also mouth drying, but all mineral driven. Very enjoyable pre-dinner sparkling! — 3 years ago
Parker gave it a 94- was expecting it to drink like a 92-93- it drank like a 91-92.

Surprisingly refined and restrained expression of Pinot noir. Paired with polenta and chicken not too overly seasoned to hide the subtlety of the wine. — 3 years ago
Last time i took out the purple cowboy was a lot different but it was great to enjoy this one and not need a new sofa. — 2 years ago
Coming in a bit flabby, short on acid, vs the rest of the lineup. Good lemon confit on the nose, still a well-made wine, just doesn’t shine — 3 years ago

I like this quite a bit. Has a mildly salty yeasty nutty oxidative thing going on. Good freshness. Decent length. Quality juice. 12%. Good qpr @ $22 on sale — 2 months ago
