Decided I needed a little Savoie with my dinner, which led me easily to @domainedechevillardsavoie. Apples and baked apple aromas give way to a lemon pith and crushed stone that has some butterscotch emerging along with candied grapefruit. Fantastic acidity, of course. What was liquid stone in its youth is gaining some richness as it ages. So goes Jacquere in its middle age. — 4 years ago

Before the storm! Apremont Jacquere planted in 1956, destroyed in 2019 by hail. Orchard fresh fruit salad. Stony pallet and pineapple acidity. There is a creamy character, nice little background to the fruit and mineral. Does need some air to disparate some ‘natural odors’ but I find those easy to get past. — 5 years ago

Pale gold color with green highlights. Aromas of white flowers, orchard fruit, fresh cut grass and citrus. Flavors of pear, melon, peach and lemon fruit along with notes of fresh basil and mint.
