Excellent with rainbow trout! Crisp and bright. — 4 months ago
Decided I needed a little Savoie with my dinner, which led me easily to @domainedechevillardsavoie. Apples and baked apple aromas give way to a lemon pith and crushed stone that has some butterscotch emerging along with candied grapefruit. Fantastic acidity, of course. What was liquid stone in its youth is gaining some richness as it ages. So goes Jacquere in its middle age. — 4 years ago
Like my last rating apparently, this is a denser, weightier Jacquere than I am used to. I like it - just seems more into Altesse territory. Lovely fruit, melon, lemongrass, mineral finish. — 7 years ago
Absolutely loved it! So refreshing, stoney grapefruit, light maceration, its bright and fun to drink. Hard to put down! — 3 months ago
Different vineyard but still 100% Jacquere, and this one is nicely on the cusp but not yet going down. Bro hints of the putative initial mountain freshness and minerals, together with a lithe expression of age. — 5 months ago
I don’t even remember — 2 years ago
Before the storm! Apremont Jacquere planted in 1956, destroyed in 2019 by hail. Orchard fresh fruit salad. Stony pallet and pineapple acidity. There is a creamy character, nice little background to the fruit and mineral. Does need some air to disparate some ‘natural odors’ but I find those easy to get past. — 5 years ago
Wine club selection October 2019 - very good, one of Carson’s favorites, honey like and lovely — 7 years ago
Pale gold color with green highlights. Aromas of white flowers, orchard fruit, fresh cut grass and citrus. Flavors of pear, melon, peach and lemon fruit along with notes of fresh basil and mint. Long mineral driven finish with elevated crisp acidity. Fresh, bright and clean. Paired well with Raclette. — 4 months ago
Grassy, slight buttered risotto on the nose. Honeyed with a nice dry herbaceous finish. Great on its own or with food. — 5 months ago
Green apple crisp - refreshing — 3 years ago
I don’t know if it’s the five years of age, but it was short in the mouth despite promising beginnings. The nose was absolutely lovely. — 4 years ago
Smells bright and fruity with a bit of floral. Taste is tart but with nice flavors, maybe apricot? Complex and good alone — 6 years ago
So fresh. 2012?? Apricot, watermelon rind, depth, layers. So beautiful. — 6 years ago
