I’ve always loved the 2003 Napa Cabernets despite vintage charts and reviews.

This wine was procured at auction dirt cheap and it’s one of the early Kelly Fleming wines - maybe 2nd vintage.

Needed airtime and oxygen. Still a lot of power and dark flavors. Fruit remains and it’s quite a solid wine. Winner in my book — 2 months ago

Tasted side by side with 2014 I think this (90+ pts) showed a tiny bit of pyrazines that made me prefer the older vintage.

After tasting a GREAT barrel-sample of their 2018 I think this is a winery to watch. — 5 years ago

This is my first Kelly Fox wine and I’m more fascinated than I was with mrs Day. Maybe because Kelly is also a farmer and winemaker the way stuff gets done in Côte d’Or. This has some serious potential. Compares well with any village level Volnay. Different nose and more pale in color but very good. The only turndown is the screwcap. — 7 years ago
