Blend of 70% Grenache, 17% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah & 3% Cinsault, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, oak and floral spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with hints of oak, herb spice and floral notes. Wine was complex and elegant with smooth tannins, long fruit and spicy finish. Holy sh*t this has hit a new level. Floral as all get out with ripe jasmine and pressed white flowers. Gained massive volume with a few years of age; tremendous rocky bite, phenolic, smokey, notes of caramel, brûlée, tangerine essential oil. Just fantastic. — 8 months ago

This is a very good value for a classic GSM Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Well balanced, with good acidity, plush tannins and bright red (strawberry, red currant) and black fruit (blackberry, black cherry). There is already a welcome note of garrigue (wild thyme and lavender) and a hint of leather. What prevents it from scoring higher is a medium finish from toned-down intensity. For that added level you need to go for the top-tier (and excellent) Les Cailloux! — a year ago
