Strong red fruit in the nose with a touch of smokey oak. Raspberry and red cherry with a touch of leather and violet opens into round tannins with a dry medium mouth feel. The finish is long with good tannins settling into a touch of maduro style cigar and fennel seed. Very enjoyable and I recommend decanting this bottle. — 2 months ago

Great tension that holds through the entire sip revealing dense and chewy elements of mocha, leather and nuance of coffee. Purple color with some brown (from aging), sugary leathery, curry - masala lol not kidding but it’s a subtle and scent based, the taste is tobaccoy (sweet maduro) for a Pinot but def still has the core Pinot characteristics, the acid is notable and there a sourness and pushes against a weak tannin - 21 years old so still some raspberry and rhubarb but the leathers mix with it — 7 years ago
