De um vermelho opaco, apresenta uma viscosidade média. Tem o cheiro marcado no álcool, com traços de madeira velha. É um bom vinho no gosto, porque apresenta um bom equilíbrio, não é nem adstringente nem ácido, sente-se o álcool circular pelo lábio interno destacando-se do sabor. I get this wet, lush nose of blackberry compote, slight hint of citrus rind and maduro cigar. Juicy mouthfeel from the medium plus acidity. Great tension that holds through the entire sip revealing dense and chewy elements of mocha, leather and nuance of coffee. Black creamed fruit hits the back of the palate with a lingering finish of smoke and red licorice. 2 hour decant is a must. — 9 years ago

Dark rye toast, blackest of currant, raisin and dried plum complement a nose of toasted sesame and maduro tobacco. Palate shows grill char, burnt brittle, toffee and resin knit into a rich and comforting blanket of espresso, bakers chocolate, black and red currant, blackberry, violet extract, cinnamon and Madagascar vanilla. At once a treat and a depth charge!

Purple color with some brown (from aging), sugary leathery, curry - masala lol not kidding but it’s a subtle and scent based, the taste is tobaccoy (sweet maduro) for a Pinot but def still has the core Pinot characteristics, the acid is notable and there a sourness and pushes against a weak tannin - 21 years old so still some raspberry and rhubarb but the leathers mix with it — 7 years ago

Strong red fruit in the nose with a touch of smokey oak. Raspberry and red cherry with a touch of leather and violet opens into round tannins with a dry medium mouth feel. The finish is long with good tannins settling into a touch of maduro style cigar and fennel seed. Very enjoyable and I recommend decanting this bottle. — 2 months ago
