This wine had me start using Delectable again after a couple of years. It’s an orange wine and it tastes like the earth. — 6 years ago

A bit tart and dry on its own, but smoothed out beautifully when paired with an oily fish dish. — a year ago

Rukatac 2020

Not an obvious choice, a Rukatac from Korčula. But a v. nice one.
V. Mediterranean nose with white peach, melon and dried herbs. A lot of them. Plus a salty whiff. Very fresh.
On the palate this shows medium body and a stony, salty backbone. Juicy acidity, yellow fruits, nice balance & flow. At 12.5% alc this is a chilled delight and very food friendly.
A v. nice discovery!

Riserva R5 White Blend

Whooo. Touch of el Porto in the nose and at the back of the tongue. Described as unctuous, and that adds to the luxury. Bold & minerally. Going to risk pairing this w/ pork belly& asparagus. — 9 years ago

Maraština 2013

The server introduced this one as sweeter than others in our Croatian tasting. I'm not so sure. Certainly less astringent but no fruit bomb either. If there's one thing I'd say about this one is that it should definitely be accompanied with food. You couldn't walk about throwing this one back at a party. Very nice though. — 9 years ago
