Nose of rye spice with vanilla and bananas foster, and on the taste, honey-sweetened tea with clove and pepper, masala tea spices, oak, and bitter chocolate. Originally a blend of single vineyards, including 50% out of Martha's Vineyard, the 2017 Lot C-91 is for borderline lots that don't quite make the single-vineyard bottlings. Deep Ruby, aromas of berry fruits, earthy oak & floral spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with hints of cacao, licorice and leather. Fine dusty tannins, good acidity, well balanced, ending with fruit and savory earthy mineral notes. Nice! Grab a Filet Mignon! — 3 years ago
