Another 2nd day wine with 3 hour decant. Doesn’t have that typical fruit forward nose like the Sinegal. Distinctive & on par with old school Heitz. Hopefully new ownership keeps this style.
Store notes,
Lot C-91 is a new wine from Heitz, inspired by a very old one! In the fall of 1969, Joe Heitz played with creating a high-end blend of small lots from some of Heitz's top single-vineyard sites. He dubbed it "Lot C-91." Some 47 years later the current team at Heitz has once again taken select barrels of fruit from legendary sites such at Martha's (Oakville), Trailside (Rutherford) and Linda Falls (Howell Mountain), to create this Napa Valley "Super Cuvée." This wine beautifully showcases the incredible 2016 vintage in Napa, which I think will go down as one of the all-time greats. — 5 years ago

Southern California fruit from Exeter farms. Beautiful nose and clean clear taste. — 8 years ago
First the nose will hit you. Extraordinary. Next red berries, black berries, eucalyptus and orange back end. (I might be the only guy to get an orange note). Balance, structure and the finish all scream of a very special wine. I don't know this Martha of Martha's Vineyard but I'd love to meet her. Top 5 of the night. — 5 days ago
From White Horse Wine and Spirits. Kinda has like a medicinal thing going on, like cherry cough syrup 🤔 — 2 years ago
I have long been a fan of St. George for a long time, and this confirms my high opinion of them. Nose of rye spice with vanilla and bananas foster, and on the taste, honey-sweetened tea with clove and pepper, masala tea spices, oak, and bitter chocolate. Orange emerges immediately on the finish with subsequent honey. — 6 years ago
Smooth, perfect for making rye Manhattans. One of my favorite small batch whiskeys. It is produced at National Historic site in the Hudson Valley. — 6 years ago
This is a really good flavorful solid gin. Perfect on one large rock with a lime. — 7 years ago

Juicy, fruity, nice body — 5 years ago
Terrific campari like aperitivo. Perhaps a bit richer with more complex spice notes. Highly recommend in a negroni or on the rocks. — 6 years ago

Jalapeño, bell pepper, habanero, cilantro, onion all uncooked and added in separate times during my distillation. Smells like fresh salsa and taste amazing. — 8 years ago
