Love this orange. Roasted apples and oranges, honey, tarragon, briney citrus rind. Just barely effervescent. — 5 years ago
Mild fizz and big notes of dark fruit. Blackberries, figs, and some light tannins. Definitely a more serious wine than what Meinklang typically churns out. Tasty. — 6 years ago
A salty acid bomb. Some herbal undertones and lime notes rising above it all. The acids settle down after about 30 min, but still very prominent throughout the bottle. — 6 years ago

Meinklang is one of my favorite producers anywhere and we finally scored most of their lineup for the first time I can remember in Austin. Like Foradori, Meinklang is a picturesque self-sustaining Demeter certified biodynamic and organic farm which happens to make insanely good wines.
This is just about the prettiest shade of Pinot Grigio (aka Grauburgunder) I’ve ever seen.
It’s expertly assembled - sour honeyed tangerine and apricot.
Graupert is slang for a scruffy or wild soul - the Pinot gris is grown untrimmed, left to spread its vines wild.

From my favorite Austrian organic and biodynamic happy farm, Meinklang, Tag is complex and nuanced, from old vines - stands out without the need to shout. At only 10.5% ABV, she has dark honeyed notes and a silver skinned green pepper lining. Chorus of candied orange peel, jasmine buds, and lychee syrup.

Meinklang makes delicious skin contact wines. This Graupert is based on Pinot Gris. Apple and orange aroma with a funky note. Taste of ripe apples and tea. Dry and the slightly bitter finish is on the shorter side. Cellar temperature is cold enough for this orange wine. — 6 years ago
I thought this was boxy at first but it comes together after a few days. It’s what you expect from a great biodynamic producer like Meinklang - an entry level Pinot with high acid, lean and crusty minerals forming into red fruit and soil. You roll the dice when you play with Pinot and this is as good as you can get for about $26. Just give it time to breathe. — 6 years ago
high acid, so tart, so fun. good bubbles. bruised apple, rubber tire, lime — 6 years ago

One of the first natural wines I ever tried; always a delight to drink again. Tart citrus, a touch of wet dog? — 3 months ago
