Vanilla and toffee, toasted almond — 7 years ago
Michter’s 25 Year Bourbon and it’s outstanding in every respect ! Probably one of the most complex noses on a bourbon that I’ve ever experienced but I guess that’s what happens after 25 years in barrel... — 8 years ago
Probably the best rye whiskey I have ever had so.far. Took 20 years to find this. 97pts. ANW206 — 10 years ago
Last year's bottle was superb- one of my top 5 whiskeys of all time. This year is a bit of a disappointment. A little cleaner, a little more astringent. It's really good juice, but not worth what I paid for it. Should be $60.

Night cap. Wanted to try the toasted barrel finish but this is what was poured. I have really enjoyed the Michter's bourbons and ryes that I have tried. — 10 years ago
Everything you'd hope a bourbon would be. Strong notes of dark wood and honey, with a certain vital Je ne sais quoi that my untrained palette has trouble detecting. — 6 years ago
Smoky, sweet and round. Oak is pretty assertive here but it sure satisfies. Drink it straight. — 9 years ago

This year's bottling is better than its Bombergers companion. Sweet and leathery, complex. Tastes like bourbon. A little astringent on the tail end.
