Glorious blast of dark, ripe berry notes,, med-weight low ABV, chewy balanced finish.,.round, fruit-juice driven sipper that deepens and gets more serious as it lingers in the glass. 60 % red, 40 % white wine combined and not co-fermented. Nice introduction to Hardy’s new project. Zoom concerts are amazing! — 3 years ago
Blackberry aroma, inky opaque appearance, tastes of dark fruit including blackberries, light tannins and a jammy finish. Delicious! — 3 months ago
Loved this Malbec! Delicious, smooth, bold! — 2 years ago
Krug is always most welcome, and Valentine’s Day is no exception. This is edition 169. A bit more yeasty and slightly less acidic than previous versions, to my taste. But if you like the Krug style - which we do very much - it hits the spot per usual.
My wife used to work with Fritz Hatton, proprietor of Arietta wines and auctioneer for Zachys. Fritz always says to have a half bottle of champagne waiting in the fridge in case you need a “midnight snack”, and I have to agree with him! — 4 years ago

"Odedi"
Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
Strong nose of black currants, black plums, black cherries, oak, light vanilla, licorice, chocolates, light alcohol, spices, peppercorn, and herbs.
Full-bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate, with plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, chocolates, dark coffee, pencil lead, licorice, light dried figs, light tobacco, and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with fine-grained tannins, tangy raspberries, and light cola notes.
This Malbec-based blend from Oak Knoll District in Napa Valley is still young, but already soft and engaging.
Rich and "in-your-face" kind of wine. Elegant and fruit-forward. Feels like a high-end New World Malbec.
Already showing nice complexity, once it opens up. Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years and see how it evolves.
Definitely needs 90 minutes in the decanter to open up and show its complexity.
Good by itself or with food.
A blend of 51% Malbec, 21% Petit Verdot, 12% Syrah, 12% Merlot and 4% Petite Sirah. Aged in (45% new) French oak barrels for 18 months.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
